James M. Kelly, Jr.

President & CEO

James is the founder of The 77 Foundation. With so many military and first responder ties through family, friends, and business, he has seen first-hand how tragedy can happen in an instant without warning, leaving family and loved ones behind to try and pick up the pieces. The 77 Foundation was created to help bring relief and hope to those families affected.

Growing up in a military family with his grandfathers, father and brother all serving this great nation, his family sponsored countless Midshipman from the United States Naval Academy once his family settled in Annapolis after his father’s 20 year Naval career.

James also has almost 15 years of DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) experience and a background in strategic planning, change management and program/project management with skills managing, supporting, and providing solutions to information technology and security clients.  James currently helps manage Business Operations & Development for Invictus International Consulting, LLC, and holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Colgate University and a Master’s in Sports Business Management.

April Jackson

Chief Operating Officer

April has worked with children in the nonprofit community throughout the DC metro area for the last ten years.  The third child to a retired Army officer, April grew up on military bases around the world.  Through her work at the foundation, April has seen first-hand how empowering military dependents can improve the prosperity of families, communities, and our country.

April received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Mary Washington University and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia.  In addition to the Seventy-Seven Foundation, April is an executive at a cybersecurity firm in Alexandria, VA.

Ric Humphries

Vice President of Programs

Mr. Humphries oversees the enrichment activities for The 77 Foundation, designed to assist youth with healing after tragic events.  He is a seasoned human resources professional, delivering, managing, and advising in multiple aspects of the human resources functional area.  Ric is also an outdoor enthusiast and is involved in several outside programs mentoring youth leadership through martial arts and exercise.

Tom Fetterolf

VP Marketing & Creative

Tom has more than 20 years experience working in graphic design, architectural design, marketing, and communications, for a wide range of business types.

With a bachelors’ degree in architecture from The Catholic University of America, he began his career in the architectural design of international airport terminals. Shortly thereafter, he became involved in creating complex 3D graphics and animation in support of programs at DARPA. Along the way, Tom has successfully started and run two design studios. His desire to give back and help others brings him to his role at The 77 Foundation.
